Job Description :
Desktop Deployment Engineer responsible for deployment activities in support of the PC refresh process and ongoing service assurance post deployment.
Reporting to the Desktop Deployment Team Leader, the Desktop Deployment Engineer will:
•Undertake Desktop Deployment activities, including but not limited to:
◦Transportation of equipment to/from site.
◦Installation and initial testing of new equipment deployed.
◦Floor walking in support of the deployment post refresh, resolving technical issues raised by end users.
◦Ongoing service assurance relating to resolution of outstanding technical issues.
•The role will require working between deployment and service assurance activities as required.
•The post holder will be required to work as a member of the ICT Desktop service team as required.
Out of hours working will be required to support the Desktop deployment activity which will typically take place between 3pm 10pm on week nights.
The successful candidate will have proven experience of Microsoft Windows Vista and the Office 2007 suite of products as well as good all round IT skills. The role will involve interfacing with end users and assisting them with any issues they have, so a strong service focus is essential.
A full clean driving licence would be preferable.
