Job Description :
Our client provides communication systems and support to customers globally. Currently seeking a Project Engineer to report into the Project Manager/ Workshop Manager.
The purpose of the role is to manage individual sub-systems within a contract through to completion. To provide a single point of responsibility to both the customer and project manager for any aspect associated with the individual sub-systems under their control. Based in Coventry, visits to site and may require prolonged visits abroad for commissioning purposes.
Main duties are:
• Sub-system supplier negotiation and control
• Customer and Supplier liaison
• Provide accurate detailed sub-system project design drawings and documents
• Financial responsibility for sub-systems delivery
• jobcard completion and control
• Pre-FAT and FAT completion
• Ability to read and translate customer specifications
• Sub-system configuration /set up
The successful candidate will have experience in:
• Radio (Tetra & HR & Aero etc) & microwave line of site D&B
• CCTV D&B
• Fire and Gas detection
• Security/ access control
• LAN/ Allied Telesys & Cisco
• Entertainment System
• Power/UPS Systems
• Detailed technical design knowledge of the sub-systems
• Author technical documents and drawing
• 2 years technical design capability
• Degree or HND in relevant discipline
• proven training certification in relevant sub-system
