Job Description :
This is an exciting opportunity to join the sourcing team of a fast growing clothing manufacturer, as part of their dynamic supply is a newly created position, which has materialised because of new client acquisitions & strong financial growth.

As a result of their expansion plans, the supply chain team is growing and this newly created position will report into the sourcing manager, being responsible for new supplier sourcing/supply chain activities from emerging economies like India, China and Bangladesh. You would be instrumental in researching and developing new supplier sources, new product ranges and new sourcing techniques.

Requirements

*Previous experience of sourcing new suppliers from emerging economies
*Ideally you would have come from a wholesale merchandising background, experienced in critical path management, negotiation on costs and delivery terms with suppliers
*Have a good understanding of fabric, garment merchandising
*Proven track record of negotiating with fabric mills and factories in the far east and setting up new supply chain/logistics/export/import functions
*Ideally degree educated
*Ideally degree educated
*A degree in fashion or fashion technology will be advantageous

Responsibilities

*To source new suppliers including garment factories, fabric mills
*Supplier relationship management, negotiating terms of business, shipping terms, etc
*Negotiate prices, payment terms, shipment terms with suppliers
*Liase with quality team for checking samples
*Supplier performance appraisal and performance evaluation
*Work closely with QA and merchandising teams on product specifications, orders and delivery
