Opportunity; SENIOR ELECTRICAL ESTIMATOR
Up to £52,000 package plus pension plus bonus
Company information: Working for this national building services contractor, that is now part of a national utility corporation. Building Services projects range from commercial retail to offices to hospitals and some social housing projects.
You will be given full responsibility of tendering and estimating for electrical projects ranging in value from £0.5 million to £5 million. Within a short time frame for the right person this could lead to managing the estimating department.
You will be responsible for:
• Quoting for electrical projects using a computerised estimating package.
• Interpret CAD drawings and concepts for incorporation into tender documentations and working drawings.
• Examination of tender documents and advising managers of bid prospects.
• Site Inspections and sub contractor liaison.
• Knowledge of schedule of rates and or a bill of quantities is desirable.
• Must have previous electrical estimating experience on commercial projects from the private sector and public sector.
• Interpretation of electrical design and tender documentation
• Site Surveyors to client properties to asses the current electrical installations.
• Assisting the bid team with client presentations.
• Assist the team leader with targets for the team.
• Understanding of current Industry regulations.
The ideal candidate will have previous experience of estimating commercial projects from an electrical contracting background.
