Vacancy: Materials Expeditor/Planner
Location: West Midlands/Warwickshire
Salary: £22,000 -£26,000
An exciting and forward thinking world leader Automotive and Heavy Goods is now looking to recruit a Materials Expeditor/Planner to plan and expedite material for a designated group of suppliers to ensure the right material arrives at the point of fit at the right time.
As the Materials Expeditor/Planner…
You'll have the chance to plan and implement component stocking parameters on the MRP system in order to support sales and production output requirements. Your responsibilities will also include:
*Ensuring that all MRP system errors are dealt with dealt with on a daily/weekly basis and thereby ensuring that schedules are issued to designated suppliers on a daily/weekly basis in support of production build
*Communicating with suppliers on a daily basis in order to expedite material in, to support right first time build and hold out unnecessary material to control inventory levels
*Developing inventory improvement policies which support first time right build

You'll have experience in a similar supply chain role, and will demonstrate excellent organisational skills. You'll have project management, supplier selection process skills and will be able to implement improvement plans. You'll have had exposure to a busy, material control environment and understand modern material control processes.
