Overview
Are you looking to join a large, successful, international, blue chip business?
Superb, contract opportunity for an ACA / CA qualified to join a well known, fast moving, blue chip, listed business based at Woking in Surrey (20 minutes from central London).
Starting immediately the role requires someone with previous experience of UK plc group accounts who is happy to commit to a 6 month role.
About You
A qualified ACA / CA, ideally you will have trained and qualified within a Big 4 firm (though candidates who have trained with other firms will also be considered).
You will have a strong working knowledge of the statutory requirements of a UK group plc and will have had exposure to complex, multi-national companies.
You will have a strong working knowledge of IFRS, US GAAP and UK GAAP.
You will have strong IT skills including ideally experience of HFM consolidation software.
You will have confident communication skills, work well under pressure, have a high attention to detail and operate a consultative, pro-active approach to tasks.
You will be looking to join a truly international, successful, fast paced business based at impressive, modern offices.
About The Role
Starting immediately this is a 6 month contract role.
Working as part of a dynamic, deadline focused team at impressive, modern offices the role will support the external reporting process.
Your duties will include:
Preparing for and producing consolidated financial statements
Producing the associated notes for inclusion in the preliminary announcement and annual group report
Producing supporting analysis for internal use
Drafting of new notes and disclosures for major corporate transactions in the period, liaison with the group auditors and other functional teams
Review of outputs from the group consolidation team
Preparation of the group WACC rate
Preparing templates for, and the management of, the group annual impairment review process and subsequent reporting of results
Liaising with external advisors, finance personnel within the group, subsidiary businesses, regional offices and the auditors
